It is an oral prodrug of the bactericidal cephalosporin antibiotic cefuroxime, exhibiting broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, with resistance to most beta-lactamases.

Primary Indications

This product is indicated for the treatment of the following infectious diseases caused by susceptible bacteria.

1. Acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and acute bacterial sinusitis;

2. Acute bacterial otitis media;

3. Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis;

4. Uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections;

5. Uncomplicated urinary tract infections;

6. Treatment of early-stage Lyme disease (in adults and children aged 3 months and above);

7. Gonorrhoea, uncomplicated acute gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis.

Contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to cephalosporin antibiotics.
