Ceftizoxime sodium belongs to the third generation of cephalosporin antibiotics, exhibiting broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It is stable against a wide range of β-lactamases produced by various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including penicillinases and cephalosporinases. Primary Indications

Lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, pelvic infections, septicaemia, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, meningitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea caused by susceptible organisms.

This product is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to this or any other cephalosporin antibiotic.
