Fumic acid fonorase is a novel acid-suppressing drug—a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB). Fonorase reversibly inhibits the activity of H+, K+ -ATPase in a potassium-competitive manner; it remains in the gastric parietal cells for an extended period, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion and effectively preventing damage to the upper gastrointestinal mucosa. Fumaric acid fonorase does not require acid activation; it achieves full efficacy rapidly from the first dose, with a strong, long-lasting and stable acid-suppressing effect. The acid-suppressing process is not affected by food intake, and it can be taken either before or after meals, thereby enhancing convenience of use.
