Belonging to the fourth generation of cephalosporin antibiotics, it exhibits stability against β-lactamases.

It rapidly penetrates bacterial cell walls and binds with high affinity to the target enzyme (penicillin-binding protein), thereby exerting bactericidal activity against a broad spectrum of Gram-negative and Gram-positive pathogens at low concentration levels.

Primary Indications

This product is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by unknown pathogens or known susceptible organisms, including: lower respiratory tract infections (bronchopneumonia and lobar pneumonia); concurrent upper (pyelonephritis) and lower urinary tract infections; skin and soft tissue infections (cellulitis, skin abscesses and wound infections); infections in neutropenic patients; and bacteraemia/septicaemia.

The Main Contraindication To Medication

Contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to cephalosporins.
