Weilexin® Cefonicid Sodium for Injection is a second-generation, broad-spectrum, long-acting cephalosporin antibiotic that exerts its antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.
Primary Indications
It is suitable for infections caused by the following susceptible bacteria: lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, sepsis, skin and soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection. It can also be used for surgery to prevent infection. A single dose of 1 g of cefonicil before surgery may reduce the incidence of postoperative infections due to contamination or potential contamination during surgery. The use of cefonicil (after the umbilical cord has been cut) in caesarean section may reduce the incidence of certain postoperative infections.
The Main Contraindication To Medication
It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to cephalosporins.
