It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a selective COX-II inhibitor, exhibiting analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. Its mechanism of action is likely related to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.


Primary Indications

This product is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and painful osteoarthritis (arthropathy, degenerative osteoarthropathy).


The Main Contraindication To Medication

This product is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to its constituents. It should not be administered to patients who have experienced asthma, nasal polyps, angioedema, or urticaria following the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Furthermore, it is prohibited for use in patients with active peptic ulceration, severe hepatic impairment, non-dialysed severe renal impairment, children and adolescents under 15 years of age, pregnant women, or lactating mothers.
