It is a long-acting cough suppressant and expectorant containing 60mg dextromethorphan and 800mg guaifenesin. This proprietary formulation provides sustained efficacy for 12 hours.

Primary Indications

This product is an antitussive and expectorant. It is indicated for the elimination or alleviation of cough and phlegm production caused by upper respiratory tract infections (such as the common cold, pharyngitis, sinusitis, etc.) or bronchitis.

1. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of this medicinal product.

2. Contraindicated during concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and for 14 days following discontinuation of MAOIs. MAOIs are contraindicated for 14 days following discontinuation of this medicinal product.

3. Contraindicated in patients with excessive or viscous sputum production who are too weak to cough it up, or in those with respiratory failure or at risk of developing respiratory failure.

4. Contraindicated in patients with foreign bodies in the respiratory tract.

5. Contraindicated in patients with pulmonary haemorrhage, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, acute gastroenteritis, or nephritis.
